Contemporaneous material captured as it appeared, so that it can be relied on later.
Rule
Every item is saved as a dated PDF or image and recorded in manifest.md with:

| Date captured | Establishes it was taken at the time, not reconstructed |
| Source URL or origin | Lets anyone go back to it |
| SHA-256 hash | Shows the file has not changed since capture |
| One-line description | So the manifest can be read without opening anything |
Generate the hash with shasum -a 256 <file> and paste it in. It costs one line
per item and turns a folder of screenshots into a record whose integrity can be
demonstrated.
